Summary of doctrinal emphasis:
1. REPENTANCE
This is the doctrine of the new birth and it includes water baptism. Although water baptism is a separate study, it should follow the act of repentance since the Bible says, “Repent and be baptised”
2. SANCTIFICATION
This is also known as Personal Holiness and will be studied as such.
3. BAPTISM
We believe in water baptism by full immersion and we believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit which is evidenced by speaking in tongues.
4. DIVINE HEALING
From the Book of Exodus to the book of Revelation, we find Scriptures that encourage us to trust the Lord for our physical healing. The verse below is one of the many examples that allow us to believe God for our healing:
Isaiah 53:5 “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for
our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His
stripes we are healed”.
5. SECOND COMING OF JESUS CHRIST
The Christian Heritage Church believes the Pre-Tribulation Return of the Lord Jesus Christ for His Church. This involves two appearances of the Lord. Firstly, for His Church and secondly, with His Church.
1 Thessalonians 4:16 “For the Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with
a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trymp of God: and the dead
in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up
together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we
ever be with the Lord”.
Jude 1:14, “And Enoch also the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying,
“behold the Lord comes with ten thousand of his saints”.
Thank the Lord for this blessed hope of the coming of our Saviour.
